THE LAST DAY OF WORK IMMERSION

Our 10-day work immersion ended today, a bittersweet day marked by sadness at leaving our co-workers. We'd grown accustomed to their daily support and companionship. A colleague's tears only amplified our own feelings of loss, but we accepted the parting. Before leaving, we promised to return, and they assured us we were the work immersion students they'd never forget. I'm deeply grateful for their kindness and for the experience of working alongside them.

When I was a child. blog #4

When I was a child, I spent all day playing outside. Unlike now, when all I think about are problems, sometimes I forget to play like I used to.   We can't do the things we used to do when we were children. But we have to accept that; it's the truth—we're getting older, and we need to work hard for our future.   Just because we're adults doesn't mean we can't play like we did when we were children, because "play" is for everyone, young and old. We can revisit things that make us happy to alleviate some of our problems.
